A birth chart is a map of the sky at the exact moment and place your child was born. Unlike daily horoscopes (the same generic prediction for millions of people), a birth chart is unique to them. We use it to write a story that fits their personality.

Sun sign is your core personality, based on your birth date. Moon sign is your emotional side, based on where the Moon was when you were born. Rising sign (the Ascendant) is how you come across to others. That last one needs the exact birth time and location.

No worries. Without the birth time, we can still calculate the Sun sign and usually the Moon sign too. You'll miss the Rising sign, but the book will still be personal. Check hospital records or baby books if you want the full picture later.

We use astronomical calculations based on the date, time, and coordinates of the birthplace. Planetary positions are calculated to the degree. Whether or not you're into astrology, the chart math is accurate.
